Mars and More app for iPhone and iPad

The app gives Mars and Venus sign readings from an encyclopedic source for dates, a chart room with planets, aspects, transits and houses, Mars and Venus themed art over the centuries, and Mars rover photos featuring Curiosity, Opportunity and Spirit plus the astronomy picture of the day.

The Mars and Venus readings use material by Evangeline Adams with ghost writer Aleister Crowley for any date from a classic 1930 work. There is also a charts tab. More on that below.

Mars rover photos on the Space Tab update daily with five pictures from each rover each day and at top of Space tab is an option to see the Astronomy Picture of the Day.

The Art tab features five pictures a day each of Mars and Venus themed art spanning centuries from classical to impressionists from a famous New York museum which has put them in public domain. Users can save images they like to their library. All image data, including Space daily images, is saved in jpeg format to reduce space.

On the chart tab there are choices of Planets now or natal as well as an entered person’s Transits for any date/time. The date picker defaults to the present to make it easiest to get a persons current transits. The transit string will be prefixed by Applying if the transit is applying. The names of people or charts entered display on right side of chart room and just tap to move between them. The aspects now or for a person entered can also be given. There is a choice in Chart Settings of Wide, Medium or Narrow orbs for Aspects. If location data, pick from a list of birth cites, and an exact time are given for a birth entry, Houses can be shown. There is a choice in chart settings of house system, default Placidus. There is also a Planets tab to get the Planets and Aspects on any date/time without creating a birth entry. All chart data is saved only locally on the device and is deleted if app uninstalls.

Charts are given in text, not chart wheels. There’s a choice of planetary bodies to show in Chart Settings as well as house system to use. There is also a choice of Wide, Medium or Narrow Orbs for Aspects. There is a resources view to help people learn more about the information in the chart room who are newer to Astrology.
